A LITTLE OF MY STORY
I was invited by Aveti Learning Center to visit and experience their program on 28th, January, 2026. Knowing Biswajit Nayak, the founder, and Sibabrata Choudhury, Director and Co-founder, personally, I was happy to fit the visit into my schedule.

I must admit, the cleanliness maintained throughout the facility, from classrooms to offices and even the rooftop café, was impressive. Their thoughtfully designed curriculum and passionate staff make learning feel joyful rather than burdensome. My interaction with the children was perhaps the most telling indicator. Their enthusiasm spoke louder than any brochure.
To some extent, Aveti has drawn inspiration from platforms like Khan Academy and the Kumon method, but what truly stands out is how they have created their own content in local languages. Today, over 3,000 government schools across Odisha have adopted audiovisual lessons for all subjects. Aveti’s team also provides continuous technical support, backed by robust tracking and evaluation systems to ensure meaningful outcomes and ongoing improvement.
Their platform combines advanced technology with smart assessments to support diverse learners, including marginalized communities and students in off-grid regions. By addressing language barriers, Aveti is working toward more equitable access to learning. It was heartening to see that around 12 government-aided Blind Schools have already adopted their newly developed curriculum for visually challenged students.

Aveti Learning Center, an after-school program for middle and high school students, was formally started in 2017 to address learning gaps, especially among students studying in local vernacular languages. Aveti partners with governments, foundations, CSR initiatives, and NGOs to implement educational projects within schools and communities. Trained facilitators support students using tablets, a dedicated learning app, and interactive worksheets. The program encourages holistic and multidisciplinary learning, nurtures project-based learning, communication skills, and technology adoption, while also fostering strong parental involvement and community support.

Aveti’s Mission
“To provide high-quality, technology-powered educational content based on robust pedagogy for schools and students learning in vernacular languages.”
Aveti’s Vision
“To create a future where every child, regardless of language or background, has access to engaging, contextually relevant, and high-quality education, empowering them to realize their full potential and thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
Visits like these reaffirm my belief that when intent, innovation, and inclusion come together, education can truly become transformative. VisionAid.org or any other organization helping visually challenged individuals may find it worthwhile to explore whether Aveti’s tech team could help develop any customized programs aligned with their needs. I was also happy to learn that Aveti has been running pilot programs in a few Ekal Vidyalaya schools in Odisha to explore how their model can be adapted for remote villages.
I am hopeful that education changes lives not through noise, but through consistency, care, and commitment. I wish the Aveti team continued success and am sharing a few pictures for memories.
A special note of gratitude to Mr. Mrugank Patnaik, a lawyer in the High Court of Odisha. It was incredibly thoughtful of him to come straight after receiving the mail delivery for the author signing. I was truly humbled by his gesture and by his interest in staying back to learn more about Aveti.
